People
The first few years of traveling and living abroad were an unending feast of exotic scents, faces, and customs. But after a time I began to find a balance between the exotic and the familiar. I saw more global similarities in people’s expressions, the light in individuals’ eyes, and interpersonal interactions than at first. Now I aim to catch authentic and unguarded moments and use the camera to draw closer to strangers. All the while admiring what is different, and finding comfort in what is the same.
