Places
There’s a moment when the world slides into focus. It happens when the laughter of a group fades to a happy hum, when everything pauses at the top of the breath, or for no discernible cause we recognize and feel the space around us. Most importantly, when we capture that image just right it draws others to that emotion and to that location. Using film provides a grounding and discipline to wait for those moments, and so I continue to shoot film as a regular counterpoint to digital for both artistic and disciplinary reasons. My landscape and location photography emphasizes my love affair with light and my unending chase to capture those moments.
